Sensei Ken spent 22 years in the Royal Air force before setting up his own business as a motivational speaker and a provider of dynamic corporate training and team building packages. In July 2000 he then opened his own full time Aikido school in Nottingham. The Shudokan Black Belt Academy has since grown to be one of the largest most successful pure Aikido schools in the world, attaining "School of Excellence" accreditation. Ken has spent over 35 years training and teaching in the Martial Arts.

1st Dan Black Belt Wado Ryu Karate. Fought for EKW England under 21 squad.

Worked with US Special Forces in Saudi Arabia co-ordinating survival training, in relation to the recovery of downed aircrew.

Detachment Commander NATO Tactical Leadership Programme, attaining 21 confirmed air to air kills for 1 friendly loss.
Military Unarmed Combat instructor.
Combat Survival Instructor, specialising in escape and evasion from behind enemy lines. Qualified temperate, arctic, jungle and desert zones.
6 years with special combined Navy/Air Force unit - Electronic Warfare.
